What Type Of Dancing Is This?
Monkey socks events are primarily Modern Jive, otherwise known as Leroc events, however some of the classes provide tasters for other styles and influences such as Salsa, R&B Jive, Merengue, West Coast Swing, Swing etc. However the freestyle sessions are all Modern Jive with the odd crossover track meaning it can be danced to by more than one style.

Do I Need To Book With A Partner?
It doesn't matter whether you book as a couple, single or group. Monkey Socks gender balance their events as much as realistically possible to ensure the ratio of men:ladies is fairly even. Because of this, if you are booking as a single person or same sex group, it is advised that you book sooner rather than later.
What Should I Wear?
Generally, whatever you feel comfortable in. Daytime lessons are entirely casual (you could even purchase your very own Monkey Socks tee-shirt!). The evening freestyle tends to be a little more dressy – whatever you would normally wear a standard freestyle unless otherwise stated on the timetable. Fancy dress is not by any means compulsory, however we do encourage you to participate in the spirit of the event, and therefore we award prizes for the best costumes.
Do I Have To Do All The Lessons?
No! This is your dance holiday! Feel free to do as much or as little as you like.
What If I Don't Know Anyone?
Within a very short time, you will!
